Thanks Myen'Tal! So I'm switching gears again. I'm trying to save my cauldron. It's got some paint build up on it so some of the detail is lost. I also cut the square bases of my old witches and put them on rounds.

Since my DoK are still a small force, I'm gonna try and get them done. After business is back, I'm gonna get one more box so I can have my 3 battle line units. Nice thing is I settled on a color scheme.

I'll keep picking at my other models but keep at it. My Tau commander is almost done. Just a little detail and base.

Everyone stay healthy.

Thanks. Got a lot more to do on it. I have an Avatar set up for my Eldar too.I also have my metal one.

**just noticed the black over spray from painting on my cauldron, hmm, happy accident**

Here's my DoK scheme. Still a wip. I need some base color suggestions?

Thanks for that. I've done a lot to the rest of them, just not enough for pics yet. I also moved to my sisters tanks so I didn't get burn out working on them. Here's a wip on the tanks.

I think they're turning out OK for being refurbished. I have less than $50 in the 4 of them instead of over $300. Makes me happy.

For $50, that's an absolutely amazing deal and you've made it look quite good. Love the extra detail you've added :).

Thanks bunches. Picking at things is getting them all closer to done and keeps me from burning out.

SECRET PROJECT...

This will probably give it away but I am so happy with how this turned out.

Nice base, Dread! Always loved lava bases, but it seems like a chore to create good ones lol.

You're not wrong about that. I've always built my models all the way, base and all. Doing this has interrupted my norm. But all the bases are done now, whew, and all the models that go on them are assembled and primered. They will be a short excursion but they will be hot when they're done. Hint hint, wink. Just a start collecting box i obtained.

So much hobby going on here Dread!

I'm a big fan of that old Dread...what was it? The Furioso or something? I remember owning one of those...it's probably barely bigger than a Primaris now!

For your DoK...I think you have to go something quite neutral for the base. There's a lot of bold colour on the figure, so it needs to stand out from than. So probably anything brown...maybe grey...maybe (although it may actually look too close to elements of the model). One thing I would consider is making the skint one a touch more pale. It's very striking, but I think you need slightly more definition between the cloth and the skin...just my 2 cents though.

The painting is glorious though bud, so I'm looking forward to you cranking out some more of the girls.

Thanks guys! Appreciate everything.

Good to hear from you Loosh. On my DoK, haven't quit got there on the flesh tones yet. This is actually the first time I've been happy with the flesh on them but I too have been thinking about highlighting them. Thanks bud.

Now on too the secret project. I've wanted these guys since they came out. So being on lock down, I got the start collecting box. Probably all I'll ever get. So here is the first part finished.

upload

Anyhow, I love how they've turned out. The drake is almost done, will post him with the Runefather when finished.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. 8)

Dread! Dude! These guys are the actual bomb!

Really sick work all round. You've managed a really good, uniform finish on all of them that just looks superb. I like that the bases are magmaesque, but still a bit understated (I find they often take a lot of attention away from the models if they're too ostentatious).

Lovely work, nicely done!

Thanks guys. These were done so differently than most everything I've done. The flesh, contrast paint! New tool that really works. The bases, way different than anything I've tried before.

Probably not Myen'Tal. If opportunity presents in the future then maybe but just getting these saited a want i had. Now we're gonna run a start collecting event at our local store, soon, I hope.
