750/1000 point Bretonnian Force
« on: December 18, 2009, 10:16:58 PM »
I've recently begun collecting the (very base) beginnings of a Bretonnian Army, and thought I might posts my planned  army lists for 750/1000 points(each, Doubles games), the most common at my LGS.

So, with no further ado, 750:

Characters:
General: Paladin, Bretonnian Warhorse, Virtue of the Joust, Armour of Agilulf, Lance
(128)

BSB: Bretonnian Warhorse, Virtue of Duty, War Banner
(129)

Core:
Knights of The Realm
-8x Knights, Full command, Banner of Chalons.
(223)
General goes here to generally assist in hitting things.

Knights Errant
-8x Knights Errant, Full command, Errantry Banner
(201)
BSB goes here, to help against whatever scaries the errants end up charging.
Peasant Bowmen
-10x Bowmen, Skirmishing
(70)

And 1000 points
Characters:
General: Paladin, Bretonnian Warhorse, Virtue of the Joust, Armour of Agilulf, Lance
(128)

BSB: Bretonnian Warhorse, Virtue of Duty, War Banner
(129)

Core:
Knights of The Realm
-8x Knights, Full command
(213)
BSB here

I think you have the right idea: in a doubles tourney you need to stick to your strengths. Blocks of Cav, thats your strength. Having a mix of the KotR and KE is good too.

And then you take what I think is one of the best "tactical" units in the Bret book: skirmishing archers. This will be a good flanking unit to cause problems or to protect one side of your knights, or both.

I will have to take a closer look at your characters and what they are kitted out with, but all in all, this is money.
