1500pt list
« on: December 26, 2012, 10:19:48 PM »
Hey,

I've been playing my eldar a lot since 6th and haven't spent to much time with my knights.

So I wrote up a list and was wondering how other thought it looked.

HQ(275)
275-Draigo

Troop(707)
325-Paladins
    x5,MC Cannon x2, halberd x3, Hammer x1

110-Strike Squad
    x5, Cannon
81-Razorback
   Las/Plas, SL

110-Strike Squad
    x5, Cannon
81-Razorback
   Las/Plas, SL

Heavy(518)
136-Dreadnought
    Twin Auto x2, Psibolt, SL

136-Dreadnought
    Twin Auto x2, Psibolt, SL

The other 246 will either be
246-Landraider redeemer
    SL
              or
246-StormRaven
    MM, Teleport homer, Psibolt, SL

The Paladins and Draigo will go in the SR/LR
Both Strike Squads will be Deepstriking

I'm up for some tweaking to the list but am not interested in Channing the feel of the army. (I'm not adding more paladin squads)
Well I'm interested in hearing some replies thanks for reading.

Land raider better for putting squads into combat, stormraven does air defense.

I wouldn't bother putting Draigo and pals in a plane, having to start in reserve and not being able to assault on the turn he arrives means you're looking at a turn 3 combat at best, easily turn 4 if you don't make the first reserve roll.

Thanks for the quick reply and sorry about my tardiness.

Wouldn't the Pallies walking up the field get them into assault around the same time?

And which would you prefer to run the Raider or the Raven?

There isn't much wrong with walking, GK are quite good at mid range gunfights, so its fine for them to play that game as they close.
A land raider is pretty tough to deal with at range and thus keeps your unit safe until you want to go mash stuff.

you can consider deep striking also, although I prefer this on smaller units as they can drop in on harassment duty to break up the enemy battle line.
