I really like that purple hinted armour Dread. It's very subtle but very, very effective.

You've certainly rattled off a lot of sisters in very little time. You're going to have a very impressive army in no time!

They all look great, but having the blue and red on either side of the cloth really makes hospitalar pop, fantastic!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This last week has been a real hard one. My mom passed away and things have really been hard. I've been drowning out my heart ache as much as I can keeping busy, distracted. I put my sisters up for a bit and started on Necron-a-palooza.

I feel for you Dread as there is nothing like the pain and sorrow caused by the loss of loved one. Nothing that I can write can help, so please take comfort from the happy memories of your Mum, and in doing anything that helps give you the strength to get through your sad loss.

I empathise with how you are feeling and I'm really sorry to read this news.  I send you all my best wishes during this very difficult and painful time.

Regarding the painting from earlier, you have done a fantastic job with that metallic effect on the power armour.  It looks spot on.

Hey Dread, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I lost my Step Dad last year which was awful, but it probably pales in comparison to losing your mother. My thoughts are with you and your family.

If you need to chat or vent or anything, please feel free to vent here, or DM if you'd prefer. Hopefully, in our own, small way, we can help take your mind off things and make your world a little less gloomy.

Thanks a bunch Looshkin. It means a lot. My mom's funeral was small but really beautiful. It has been hard to keep my mind still. The bad thing is we found out that we may have been exposed to covid at the funeral so we're self quarantining right now as per nurses orders. I'm still waiting for a toilet seat to fall out of the sky and hit me. Just haven't figured out why all this bad is happening at once. The good has been getting 2 sets of the new necrons and the new rule book, been busy building them and painting the new ad mech models for my friend. We were supposed to get our first 9th ed game in tomorrow night but, well, you know. My dad seems to be getting better in the nursing home so hopefully he'll get to go home in a few weeks so there is that, if the doctors say he can take care of him self. I'm so ready to start rolling dice. Peace to you all and God bless. 8)

Ah, life really is taking a dump on you right now. I'm glad to see that you're keeping a somewhat positive outlook on it; as they say, this too shall pass.

I'm still waiting for a toilet seat to fall out of the sky and hit me.

Not going to lie, I snorted when I read this. It beautifully encapsulates everything that 2019 and 2020 have served up so far.

Good to hear Dread. The world will right itself at some stage...and when it does at least you'll have a load of minis to paint/play with!

Thanks Loosh! So I went and bought a new color today by turbo dork called "let them eat cake". I'm building the new banshees right now and thinking about this color for them.

It's a blue to red color shift. It's also a long way from my other craftworld paint scheme. Wanting some opinions, please. Read hair, metallic weapons, gold trim with this as the armor color.

Thanks.

Ooooooooooo!

I've never seen those colour shift paints. I am very, very interested to see how they work out for you. Post pics as soon as you have something!

Haha! ;D so true bro, so true. So I used the paint last night. I've used 2 of the other colors (like on my DE and necrons) and loved them but this one doesn't color shift worth a shift and it's really dark. I like the color but it's almost black like an egg plant purple. I going to try using some lighter colors as accents and see what happens but have a feeling repaint will happen.

Everyone enjoy your weekend and hopefully get a few games in if it's safe. Hopefully the storm has passed and we'll see some semblance of norm soon. 8)

Start on necron scheme.
