I think deathspitter warriors complement swarmy nids  pretty well.
More synapse, and template weapons have the advantage that they might make your opponent spread out his squads, making them less effective in cc (only the first 2" or so of them can fight in the first round).  Also makes it more likely you'll destroy or deny a hidden powerfist.

I've noticed that my regular nid opponent has his deathspitter warriors in cover like 90% of the time, because they're range is so good.  The carapace is wasted when he's getting a free 4+ cover save, so I'd be tempted to use this brood:

3 warriors - just senses and tl-deathspitters.  96pts
