Death Korps Armoured Company
« on: February 23, 2010, 06:46:03 PM »
Hello 40koers!

So, here's the start of my AC. A Destroyer Tank Hunter, or if needs be, an enclosed Basilisk I suppose. (Still needs an MG mounted by the commanders hatch).

And a WIP of the first Leman Russ Prototype. I've moved the Lascannon into the turret, alongside the cannon:

I'm going with a mix of Later German vehicles and Russian vehicles for this army, as I feel that's where a lot of the influence for the DK comes from (As well as WW1 Brits).

Thanks for looking!

(I hope this is an appropriate place for this thread)

Wicked awesome as usual.

I do like the stubby lascannon on the turret. I think you've got some great sized barrels on them too, big enough for 40k without compromising the look you're going for.

I really like the Destroyer Tank hunter and the plastic work on those two is amazing

I don't like the turret on the Leman Russ
for me personally the mix of Russian and German style tanks does not work
but thats just me and the work you have done on them is very impressive to say the least

I had such a hard time finding an appropriately sized barrels for these, i'm glad someone noticed!

Thanks! It's a shame you don't like the Russo/Germanic look, but maybe some of the other vehicles I make for this army will be more up your alley.

Nice tanks! The Tank Destroyer has about 6" extra range which is good :)

Are you also gonna paint the cool FW Death Krieg models?

Those tanks look amazing, i like the Hetza idea for the Destroyer, amazing plastic work

i think it looks more like the German panzer V Panther, compared to a russian german mix, imho
