How much of an ork army should be HQ?

I would say just based on my own opinion that no more than 30% of the total point value of your army should be HQ. In a 1500 point battle no more than 450 points should be spent on HQ or else I would consider it a bit on the cheesy side.

The more choppy the better, but over 500 pts just ridiculious. The Warboss and his bodyguard are always exspensive, but they make up for it in CC as they pumel, mutilate, bloody there way through squad after squad.

well in my 1500 pt speed freek army my hq comes to 500 pts exactly. but they always make their points back. this one game, they went through a space marine command squad, 2 assault squads, and then they got wiped by a tooled up vet squad, but they were the most devastating unit in the game.

My HQ for my Bad Moon Army comes to 480 and thats only 6 Models and a trukk.
