what's my stuff worth..... for people who don't know
« on: January 18, 2003, 10:13:02 AM »
here is a thread for poeple who have stuff to trade but don't know how much it's worth.
if you post here remeber to state what country you are in and that way people can help you break down the money conversion, also remeber to state the condition of the item you are trading. like is it assembeled (put togeather ) still on the sprue , partly assembeled , missing pieces what not . that way people can give you a fair idea about what it's worth.

Currency Conversion - Whats what in the world of financial garble
« Reply #5 on: January 20, 2003, 11:00:59 PM »
Ok.. to give people an idea in general of Currencies the usual currency conversion is pretty generic:

UK Pound = 2.6/3 AU dollars = 1.5 US Dollars

If this makes any sense the Australian dollar is generally about 0.6 dollars to the US dollar and about a 3rd of the UK Pound. Most other currencies can be calculated from these as the majority of people that play Warhammer based games come from these three currency denominating countries.. or rather they hold the main three currencies.

To convert a currency the best place to do conversions is http://www.oanda.com - A currency conversion site that is updated 24/7

The direct link to the converter, if the site looks a  little complex to navigate, is:

http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic

Hope this information is useful!

Cheers

You with the captain, seeing as its a decent looking limited ed. model I would say you could sell it for anywhere between 10 and 25 american dollars.

Hi,
I have just been clearing out the loft (moving home) and found something you guys may be interested in.
A boxed set of Harlequin minitures 18 pieces made from lead (there are 14 in the box at the moment (mint) and I may be able to find the rest).
I will post up pictures when I can.

A complete harli box like that, if mint, and complete, may be worth $50-60 on ebay.  Harlis sell individually for about $3-5 each, depending on which model it is.
Love the law, but don't worship it, because it is not the highest standard.  It is our lowest common denominator.  It is the least we will accept from people as a society.  Don't make the law your goal.  You can do better.  You should do better.

I have a Bloodbowl referee's shirt that I won soon after the opening of the Newcastle, Australia store (93?). It has been worn (by the GW employees a couple of times and by me once), and it's still in excellent condition.

1 shadowseer: $7.50
1 great harlequin: $7.50
1 solitaire: $7.50
1 wraithlord: $2..5.. 3.. uhm, its a regular Wraithlord
1 venom: $25-35 depending on which conversion
20 harlequins: $100
6 death jesters: $45

$100 + $45 + $30 + 30 + $22.50 = $227.50 in new archived prices for ACTUAL harlequin models.

I'd say $275 painted well, possibly $300: commissioned Schooled Profressional Artists pull more weight in this department over "average hacks who can paint good".

ya drop me an e- mail and I'll take a look and see what I can come up with for you.
usually convertions go one of two ways they are really wanted and there  fore can fetch a nice price or they are not really desirable and there for no matter how hard you try you can't get rid of it lol

What do you think this Dark Angel army would go for?

1 Grand Master (with Sword, Power Fist, and Lion Helm + Bearer)
1 Chaplain with Jump pack and Plasma Pistol
1 Librarian with Terminator Armor
10 Deathwing Termies (1 Sarge. 1 Assualt Cannon. 1 Cyclone, 4  Chain-Fists. 3 Power Fists)
1 Dreadnought (with Lascannon)
6 DA Tactical Squads
5 Scouts
1 Namaan
3 Ravenwing Bikers (1 sarge, 1 flamer)
1 Attack Bike
1 DEvestator Squad
1 Land raider Crusader.

All are painted in Dark Angels colors and is done quite well (or so i am told).  I would put a pic but my camera's broken.  All models are in good condition.  What is it worth in American?

Oh yeah one thing about what i posted up before, would the fact that about 40 - 50% are painted affect the price in anyway?  'Cuz if it don't then i'm going to sell it a whole lot sooner!  And by unpainted i mean not even primed.

Also you could add this to the list:
2 old DA codecies
1 new DA codex
1 SMurf Codex
1 Rhino
1 Scout with a Sniper Rifle
1 Standard Bearer
1 Techamarine
1 Master of the Ravenwing
Rosethorn wishes Aegis; Whisperless Void.

What I am really intrested is does it really affect the price where the units/models are painted?  or Primed?
