This might be a stupid question... but is it possible to load pictures directly from your desktop into a post? If you do need a web address in order to do it, what websites can I put pictures on?

Thanks

You need to host the images on the internet to display them in posts. Photobucket.com is commonly used here.

I am new to this web board and was wondering how I could post a topic about an Eldar Craftworld in the Eldar section of "Warhammer 40K."  Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give me.

Inside any boards or forums, around the top right hand corner, there is button of  .

Click on that to create a new thread/topic.

Oh, and welcome to 40K Online BTW! ;)

Thanks for the help.  However, there does not seem to be a "new topic" button in that section.  I think I may not have been clear in phrasing my question.  I was referring to the Eldar section on the left hand side of the home screen.

Ah, in that case...

Those are achieves of articles which are done by some of the members who wish to make contribution to this community by taking part in doing some Projects.

So if you actually want to submit something (articles) to those sections, then I suggest you contacting some of the staffs about this issue by Personal Message. (PM)

Thanks, I'll definitely do that.  I'm really looking forward to getting people's ideas on my craftworld fluff.

I have a question. When I look at my profile and my description in the topics, my post count seems to always stay at 96. I've checked all my posts and I know I have more. Any idea what's going on?

EDIT: Oh... Now it's at 97 cause I just posted here... just took a look in the beginners topics, i see, theres a glitch...but those posts are dated to 2004.

Posts in certain boards like the tavern don't count toward your total.  That is probably what is happening for you.

Is there any universal list of boards that do count that you could post?

Ah! My eyes burn! Reading that post hurt more that having to see Panic at the disco live. Please, lets all save a kitten because that type of post in the original with the bad grammar and poor spellings makes me become Grammar-Nazi! Saving spelling and enunciation where ever forums are found!

Grammatical correctness has nothing to do with the harsh battlefields of the 41st Millennium; bolter rounds punch right through grammer books!

I personally do not want to down load the forum's spellchecker, I imagine that is why the OP hurt your eyes.

Indeed, you just click the button (located next to 'preview' for those who can't seem to find it) and the site does all the work for you.

Thats funny, the first (and probably last) time I tried to spellcheck something a message asked if I wanted to download something...  ???

Then again, I would almost prefer to not use the spell checker; I go to school online and have to run spellcheck multiple times to keep up with my (lack of) grammatical prowess  ;). Its nice to know I don't have to use it; hopefully my spelling is correct enough to not confuse readers.

During the upgrade-process every screen you pressed asked you to download something. That has been removed.
