Dammit, dammit, dammit! I can't believe I missed out on this one... stupid real life... >:(

OK this one is jam-packed with great stuff! Catachan's Stormies are very awesome (I have GOT to get my hands on some of those for my new army!) but I was put off by the yellow grenades.

Love Capt. Caine, The Elysians, those (Drool) Renegade Ogryns and that Commissar Leman Russ, but in the end I went with Aircav's "Hellhound" I love his flying guard theme! Plus, we have the same name (us Keith's gotta stick together!).  ;D

Fething, gakking, bloody hard choice. Yes I've been reading Gaunt again.

Thing is, I'm a sucker for themed pieces, so Sputnik's little diorama won it for me. I had actually wanted to enter y Hydra Emplacemnt in for this, but it came in only yesterday. Next one I guess, time to work on those Rough Riders.

Some many good choices.... ARGH!

I ended up going with Kblaes' Leman Russ, well painted, and effective colour scheme. When in doubt, go with the army list choice you like the most  ;).

Tough choices.......

i'm gonna have to go with air cav's hellhound. interesting take on the model, and love the crew models, especially their shades.

It was between Sputnik, Skankin and myself. Myself eliminated because i didnt want to be the jerk who voted for himself. Then Skankin's models looked hella sweet with wood guns but Sputnik's men took the cake. Long have I loved the Elysians, and I love it when I see some well painted para'boys.

My vote went to Doc. Although the pic isn't the best the squad is obviously extremely nice and sadly rare to see. The chimera is also excellent, you should have posted more of the pics from your album Doc!

Hard decision though. Close seconds are Skankin, Gravis, Aircav. Infact sod it! Everyone entered something cool. :D

Tough choices, for my money it's between AirCav, Sputnik and Skankin_Catachan, the painting on all three is spot on.

However while I love the Elysians the basing is a little plain compaired to the other two which takes them outa the running. After that for me I think it comes down too not being so keen on the concept of a Guard Speeder (though thats not to detract from the quality of the conversion which is flawless as far as I can tell), leaving Skankin_Catachan's Storm Troopers!

I love Michael Caine as an actor, and Zulu is a classic.  It screams praetorian! Good show!

Parak.  Simply because it's the best Exterminator conversion I've ever seen.  He even avoided the old problem of the ammo hoppers being on the outside of the tank.

Though you really need to get rid of that mold line on the hull Heavy Bolter.

What I'm saying is that it's brilliant despite that small flaw.  Much like a woman - anything too perfect isn't interesting.

This has to be one of the toughest to pick, but in the end i went for Gravis.
It was close though with some fantastic entries from all who've entered.

Just spotted that mold line. Im always doing that. ::) Oh well.

This is a really tough competition. Some great stuff there. Skankin catachans work is brilliant squeezing alot of colour in whilst maitaining a uniform look, not an easy task. Col. Gravis masterful as ever with that supercool sculpt, very inspiring and a tidy job to boot.
Aircav, original and exceptionally cool. I have the white dwarf with this army in it and Im glad to see that you are still adding to the force. One of my favourite guard armies ever, and your hellhound is no exception.
Sputnik has a beautifully clean paint job and works that blue beautifully, would love to see more of these guys.

These are the entries that really stood out to me, however there are no entries I didnt consider. Probably the best competiton with regards to great entries we have seen in a while.

Still dont know who to vote for.

Another vote for Skankin's Stormtroopers.  It was very close between that and Aircav.  What tipped it for me was the flesh... I'm not quite so keen on the higher contrast on Aircav's.

Good work all round though. :)
